Write 250–350 characters to bid for a dev job. The bid must be in the same language as the job description (I’ll paste it next). Show you understand the task + technology/language/cms/frameworks involved. Start with a short specific question about something unclear (don’t ask “what’s the plan” / “how you envision it” or similar). Keep it super informal and funny, simple words, short sentences. Prefer technical questions. No “Hi/Hello”, no hype about the project, no talk about my experience. Focus on the current task. Don’t ask about colors/branding. Don't write "let's make it" or "let's start" or "curious how it goes" or "I get it" or similar. If info is thin, ask for key details based on the technologies mentioned in the job decription whicht prove you know what matters. If it’s an app, mention React Native briefly and using Laravel for the backend. If it’s a website and no framework/CMS is specified, lean toward WordPress, mention easy content updates + custom code on top. Job description: My Sharetribe-based marketplace runs on a custom React front end with a small Node/Express layer and an Affirm checkout flow. The platform works, but performance is holding us back: pages hesitate before rendering, and under moderate traffic the app sometimes crashes outright. I do not yet have formal benchmarks, so the very first step will be to help me define realistic, measurable targets for both load times and stability. Once we know what “fast” looks like, I need you to profile the whole stack—React bundles, Node APIs, Sharetribe Flex transactions, and the Affirm integration—and eliminate the bottlenecks that are causing the delays and crashes. Expect to dive into Lighthouse, Chrome DevTools, Web Vitals, New Relic (or a tool you recommend), database queries, server-side rendering decisions, and any memory leaks lurking in state management. Deliverables • A benchmark & KPI document that sets baseline and target numbers • A concise audit report pinpointing the root causes of slow loads and crashes • Code-level optimizations and configuration changes merged via pull request • A follow-up test suite or monitoring setup proving the agreed targets are met If you thrive on squeezing every millisecond out of React, Node, and third-party services like Affirm inside Sharetribe, you’ll feel right at home here. What's your current approach to monitoring Node API performance? I’d love to know if you’ve started with something like New Relic or if you have any preferred tools in mind. With React and Sharetribe involved, nailing those load times and stability benchmarks will be key.
