Job description: BUILD A FULL-FEATURED VEHICLE MARKETPLACE PLATFORM — KENYA Project Title: Ashco — Automotive Marketplace Platform (Web & Mobile) Budget: Open to proposals Project Type: Fixed Price Duration: To be discussed ABOUT THE PROJECT We are building Ashco Direct, a comprehensive online vehicle marketplace platform based in Kenya, similar in concept to AutoTrader UK but tailored specifically for the Kenyan and East African market. The platform will serve as a two-sided marketplace connecting private sellers, trade sellers (dealerships), and buyers across four vehicle categories: Cars, Vans, Bikes, and Trucks. Full UI/UX designs have already been completed in Figma and detailed written documentation has been prepared for every page and feature. We are looking for an experienced development team or individual to bring this to life. PLATFORM OVERVIEW The platform includes the following key sections: • Home pages for all four vehicle categories (Cars, Vans, Bikes, Trucks) • Advanced search and filtering system specific to each vehicle category • Search results pages in both list view and grid view • Full vehicle listing pages with image galleries, video support, and seller information • Three stage listing creation process for both private and trade sellers • Full seller backend dashboard with nine inventory management categories (pending, active, sold, drafts, scheduled, daily reports, browse history and more) • Private and trade seller pricing and package management • Buyer features including watchlist, saved sellers, browse history, and messaging • Blog and content section for SEO and market news • Sponsored/featured listings and advertising system • Notification system for listing expiry, price changes, and messages • Social media integration including WhatsApp sharing • Payment integration (to be confirmed) • User account creation, login, and profile management • Super admin backend for listing approvals, reports, and platform management TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS • Mobile first, fully responsive design (Kenya is a mobile dominant market) • Fast loading and SEO optimised • Secure user authentication • Image and MP4 video upload with YouTube integration for video hosting • VIN and registration number verification to prevent duplicate listings • Google Maps integration for seller location • WhatsApp Business API integration • Scalable architecture to support future expansion to additional countries and categories • Excel and PDF export functionality for seller inventory reports • AI assisted listing description generator WHAT WE WILL PROVIDE • Complete Figma designs for all pages • Detailed written documentation for every page and feature • Full content and copy for the platform • Ongoing feedback and collaboration throughout the build WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are looking for a skilled and experienced developer or development team with a proven track record of building marketplace or classified listing platforms.
